About Me

My name is Jeslin Shahrezaei (shah-rez-I-E), and I have proudly served on the Lakewood City Council since 2021. For the past three years, I have also had the honor of serving as Mayor Pro Tem for Jefferson County's largest city.

My career has been rooted in the nonprofit sector, where I have spent more than two decades working in youth development, workforce development, and conservation. That experience has given me firsthand insight into the challenges facing working families and our most vulnerable neighbors, while teaching me the value of collaboration, innovation, and strong public-private partnerships to deliver meaningful results.

My husband and I chose to raise our family in Jefferson County because of its incredible quality of life from our mountain landscapes and open spaces to our vibrant communities and thriving local economy. Jefferson County truly is the Gateway to the Rockies and I believe our best days are still ahead.

I'm running for County Commissioner because I want to bring my experience as a local elected leader and nonprofit executive to county government. I am committed to responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars, protecting our natural resources, supporting healthy and safe communities, and ensuring Jefferson County continues to be a place where every resident has the opportunity to thrive.
